Dr. Roberto Spreafico obtained his DM degree at Turin University, Italy, in 1982. In 1986, he obtained a DMD degree, at Geneva University, Switzerland. He is now a private practitioner, in Busto-Arsizio, near Milan, Italy. He is active member of: Accademia Italiana di Conservativa, European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. Associate Editor of “European Journal of Esthetic Dentistry”. Member of the editorial board of: Journal of Adhesive Dentistry; Practical Procedures & Aesthetic Dentistry. Dr Spreafico presently conducts a number of courses in the field of esthetic dentistry throughout Italy and abroad. He is also author of numerous clinical papers on this topic. Author of 12 book chapters  . Co-authored the book ” Adhesive Metal-Free Restorations : current concepts for the esthetic treatment of posterior teeth.” by Quintessence Publishing Group (1997).

Fritz Kopp has maintained a private practice in Zurich since 1984. The practice specialises in Perio-Prosthodontics. He received his dental degree in 1975 from the University of Basel Switzerland, where he started his postgraduate training in operative dentistry and periodontics. He presented his doctoral thesis in 1977. Between 1977 and 1984, Fritz completed postgraduate programmes in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics, and Oral Surgery at the University of Zurich. During this time he was also a senior lecturer in fixed and removable perio-prosthetics. From 1982 to 1983, Fritz was also Visiting Assistant Professor at the Department of Occlusion and the TMJ/Oral Facial Pain Clinic of the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry, Ann Arbor, USA. From 1985 to 1996 Fritz was a senior lecturer in Fixed Prosthodontics and Occlusion at the University of Geneva School of Dentistry. Fritz has published widely and has lectured extensively across the world.

Andreas Nolte had his education as a dental technician in Lübbecke ( East-Westphalia) from 1985 till 1989. From Since 2000 he is lecturing throughout Europe and the United States. Since 2004 he is the owner of a laboratory and trainingcenter in Münster. He is also author of several articles published in Teamwork, Dentallabor and Dental Dialogue.

 

 
Dr. Shahvir Nooryezdan has completed  his Post Graduation with a  Masters Degree in Restorative Dentistry from the University of Sheffield, UK. He underwent advanced training in Oral Implantology at various centres in  Germany and has maintained an exclusive Restorative & Implantology practice in Mumbai since 1993. He is the Founder President of the Indian Academy of Osseointegration. He is also a Diplomate of the ICOI (USA). He is a founding member of the Asian Academy of Osseointegration and has been examiner at the Australian Society of Implant dentistry accreditation program. Dr. Shahvir Nooryezdan has gained widespread international recognition and has been an invited keynote speaker at European Association for Osseointegration, Quintessence International and other Implant congresses around the world. He currently is on the Editorial Review board of the ICOIs journal – Implant Dentistry and a member of the ICOI credentialing committee. His dental practice “ORIS” in Mumbai is recognized and listed amongst 40 “Leading Dental centers of the world” at www.leadingdentalcenters.com.

Klaus Müterthies was born on 25.12.1943 in Gütersloh, Germany. He had his education as an dental-technician. Klaus Müterthies has his own laboratory, which he use for experimental work and for postgraduate courses. He has been invited to hold courses abroad in USA, Canada, Australia, Japan, Asia and the most European countries. From 1991-1992 he had a teaching asighnment at the Private University Witten/Herdecke. Klaus Müterthies is author of 4 books and 3 videofilms published by Quintessence, Berlin and 1 book publisched by himself. Topic: Ceramic work. He is a member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentristy.

For esthetic reasons a restorative margin must still be carried subgingivally. Its adverse impact on the periodontium due to factors such as improper margin, violation of the biologic width or inadequate emergence profile is well known and has been abundanly discussed in the literature, but has often been insufficiently explained how to be avoided during clinical procedures. The meticulous performance of the different clinical steps during restorative work such as tooth preparation, provisionalization, impression taking, try-in, and final cementation will be elaborated, leading to more predictability and longevity in esthetics. Pertinent clinical details are presented which can be built into your own treatment concept and utilized tomorrow.
